A Delegation from the Swiss Embassy in Egypt and SECO Visits Polaris Industrial Park and Edita Foods

On 9 December 2024, a delegation from the Swiss Embassy in Egypt and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) visited Polaris Industrial Park and Edita Foods, within the framework of the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme (GEIPP) – Egypt.

The visit highlighted the ongoing transformation of Polaris Industrial Park into an eco-industrial park under the GEIPP-Egypt project. The delegation explored the park’s innovative approaches to environmental sustainability, such as energy efficiency improvements, waste reduction, and the adoption of circular economy practices, which are central to the programme’s objectives.

The delegation also visited Edita Foods, a key player in Egypt’s industrial sector, known for its strong sustainability vision and strategic commitment to sustainable production. Edita Foods is actively cooperating with the GEIPP-Egypt project to implement sustainable practices within its operations, aligning with the programme’s goals of fostering eco-industrial development.

This visit highlights the crucial role of the Swiss-Egyptian collaboration in driving the transformation of Egypt’s industrial parks into models of sustainability, reinforcing the shared commitment to advancing green industry practices and supporting sustainable investment in Egypt.
