Project Steering Committee – 3rd Meeting

The Global Eco-industrial Parks Programme (GEIPP) – Egypt project held its 3rd steering committee meeting on 23 August, 2023. The project presented to the members the project’s progress from January to June 2023 and the workplan for from July 2023 to June 2024. This gave the members the opportunity to share their insights and strategic direction to the project.

The project steering committee is chaired by the Ministry of Trade and Industry and co-chaired by the Embassy of Switzerland in Egypt. The meeting involved remarks from Mr. Amr Hazzaa (Advisor to the Minister and Head of Developmental Projects Unit – Ministry of Trade and Industry) and from Ms. Michal Harari (Deputy Head of International Cooperation – Embassy of Switzerland); as well as UNIDO, Mr. Rana Singh (Industrial Development Officer and Project Manager).

The presentations of the project’s progress were presented by Ms. Shahenaz Fouad (National Project Coordinator), and on the planned activities for by Mr. Alessandro Flammini (Technical Leader and Project Coordinator). The meeting was followed by an active discussion involving the steering committee members, paving the way for the next phase of implementation.
